Kassy LaBorie is the principal consultant at Kassy LaBorie Consulting, LLC. She is a speaker, instructional designer, classroom facilitator, and author who specializes in technology, leadership, and learning. Kassy is passionate about helping organizations, learning teams, and training professionals successfully move to the virtual environment. In her previous role at Dale Carnegie Training, she was the Director of Virtual Training Services, a consultancy that partners with organizations to help them develop successful online training strategies. Kassy also served as the Product Design Architect responsible for developing the company’s live online training product and experience. Prior to this, she was a master virtual trainer with InSync Training, a Microsoft software trainer, and a senior trainer at WebEx, where she helped build and deliver training at the WebEx University.
Kassy is the co-author of Interact and Engage! 50+ Activities for Virtual Training, Meetings, and Webinars (ATD Press, 2015). A frequent speaker at industry conferences since 2006, she has presented at Training Magazine events including their yearly conference and Online Learning Conferences, Chief Learning Officer symposiums, The Virtual Learning Show, ATD’s TechKnowledge and International Conference & Exposition, as well as many local ATD Chapter events. Kassy also served on the Proposal Advisory Committee (PAC) for ATD’s International Conference & Expo for 2016 and 2017, selecting the speaker proposals for the Learning Technologies track of the conference.
Kassy graduated from San Francisco State University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Communication. Today, she resides in Western New York, having settled in the beautiful, and yes, snowy, Rochester in 2013.
Tom Stone has nearly 20 years of experience in the L&D and broader Human Capital industry. In the fall of 2017 he joined i4cp as a Senior Research Analyst. Prior to joining i4cp, Tom was Director, Technology Based Learning at Dale Carnegie Training, where he led the product development for their live online and other digital offerings. Earlier in his career Tom also served as a Senior Research Analyst at Taleo and held various positions, including Product Design Architect and Content Development Manager at Element K.
Tom is a popular speaker and has presented at over 100 regional, national, and international conferences on a wide range of topics. He is also co-author of the book Interact and Engage! 50+ Activities for Virtual Training, Meetings, and Webinars (ATD Press, 2015).
Tom graduated from the University of Rochester with a BA in Philosophy (1995). In addition to his research and writing in the Human Capital industry, Tom is also an avid baseball fan, is a blogger at the popular baseball site Seamheads.com, and will be publishing a baseball history and statistics book in the spring of 2018.
